Terms & Conditions
Last updated 16 July 2026
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of PracticeDepth (the “Service”), operated by [Your registered legal name] (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. The service
PracticeDepth is an adaptive AI-powered interview-practice tool. It generates questions, analyses your answers, and produces feedback, scorecards and study plans. Alongside the main interview it offers code challenges, CV Defense, Learn mode, Playbook styles, and a Depth Passport that records the depth you've demonstrated over time. It is a practice aid: it does not guarantee any interview outcome, job offer, or hiring result, and its feedback is generated by an AI model and may contain errors.
2. Eligibility & accounts
You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country) to create an account. You are responsible for the activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in secure. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
3. Credits, purchases & expiry
- The Service runs on prepaid credits. New accounts receive a free credit grant; further credits are bought in packs.
- There is no subscription. Purchases are one-time and are processed by our payment provider, Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card details.
- Your free signup credits do not expire. Purchased credits are valid for one month from purchase; buying a new pack resets the expiry on your whole balance. Expired credits are forfeited.
- Credits have no cash value, are non-transferable, and cannot be exchanged for money except where required by law.
- Prices are shown at checkout in the applicable currency and include any taxes where required. Buying any pack unlocks the full product.
4. Refunds & right of withdrawal
Where you are a consumer in the EU/EEA or UK, you have a statutory right of withdrawal for digital purchases. Because credits unlock digital services that can be used immediately, by starting to use purchased credits you acknowledge that you may lose that withdrawal right for the credits consumed. Unused credits may be refundable — contact support@practicedepth.comand we'll deal with your request fairly and in line with applicable law.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- reverse-engineer, scrape, resell, or attempt to extract the underlying models, prompts or question logic;
- circumvent credit metering, rate limits, or access controls, or share an account to evade them;
- upload unlawful content, or content you don't have the right to upload, or submit another person's personal data without a lawful basis;
- use the Service to build a competing dataset or model, or in any way that disrupts or overloads it.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms or that we reasonably believe are being used abusively.
6. Public profiles & contacting other members
You may choose to publish a Depth Passport and to let other members contact you. Both are optional, off by default, and can be switched off at any time. If you use them:
- You are responsible for what you put on your public page. Don't publish anything unlawful, misleading about your experience, or that infringes someone else's rights, and don't impersonate anyone or use a handle you have no right to.
- Messages must be respectful and relevant. No harassment, spam, advertising, bulk outreach, or attempts to move someone off-platform to get around blocks or limits.
- Members can block and report. We may review reported messages, remove content, and suspend accounts that abuse contact — and we apply rate limits to sending.
- We may remove a public profile or reclaim a handle that breaches these Terms, is impersonating someone, or is dormant and squatting a name.
- Levels shown on a passport are self-recorded practice results, not a verified credential or certification, and must not be presented as one.
7. Interview Playbook & company information
The Playbook describes styles of technical interview. Where we reference how a named company is reported to interview, that is aggregated from public candidate reports, is clearly labelled with its sources and date range, and is not supplied, endorsed, or verified by the company named. We are not affiliated with any company mentioned, and company names are the trade marks of their respective owners. Interview processes change without notice — treat it as preparation guidance, not fact about any employer.
8. Your content
You retain ownership of the answers, code, and any CV or job-description text you submit (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited licence to process Your Content solely to operate the Service — for example, transcribing your voice, analysing an answer, or generating a scorecard. We handle personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.
9. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, and generated question framework, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property law. These Terms grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for your own interview practice.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. AI-generated feedback may be inaccurate or incomplete and should not be relied on as professional, legal, or career advice.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, or for lost opportunities, offers or income. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud). Where liability is not excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
12. Changes to the service or terms
We may update the Service and these Terms. If we make a material change to the Terms, we'll take reasonable steps to let you know. Your continued use after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by [the laws of your country of establishment], without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence are unaffected. The courts of [Country of jurisdiction] shall have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory rules that give you the right to bring a claim locally.
